Guests enter the French Quarter Inn in a rotunda floored with green-and-cream marble, ascend to the second-floor lobby via a brass-door elevator, or climb a spiral staircase with charcoal-granite steps and mahogany-and-wrought-iron railings decorated with forged leaves. Above, a circular, four-story, skylighted atrium has mahogany paneling and black wrought-iron railings on each floor.
The spacious lobby offers widely separated conversation areas with overstuffed seating, a gas fireplace, and complimentary wireless Internet access. Decorated in 18th-century French style, the lobby includes floral carpeting, a molded ceiling, plants, fresh flowers, and a complimentary, 24-hour self-service area with coffee, lemonade, iced teas, and candies. Guests arriving between 3 PM and 11 PM receive champagne and ladyfingers. Also available 24-hours a day is a complimentary computer kiosk with high-speed Internet access where guests can check their e-mail accounts and print airline boarding passes. Wireless Internet access is complimentary throughout the hotel.
Off the lobby, a spacious walled terrace has wrought-iron umbrella tables where complimentary deluxe Continental breakfast can be enjoyed, a wall fountain, hanging plants, trellises with climbing flowers, gas lanterns for after dark, and a covered area furnished with ceiling fans. On the hotel's opposite side, three floors have south-facing balconies.

The French Quarter Inn offers 50 guestrooms in a four-story, restored 19th-century brick building containing a round skylighted atrium. Triple-sheeted beds are supplied with plush-top mattresses, down blankets, and white matelassé bedspreads. A pillow menu offers six choices, from buckwheat to down. Waffle-weave bathrobes supply lounging comfort. Ceiling fans furnish a cooling option to rooms' air conditioning.
Bathrooms include gilt-framed mirrors, black-and-white-tile checkerboard floors, shower/tub combinations, and Gilchrest & Soames English toiletries. Conveniences include complimentary high-speed and wireless Internet connections, and two telephones, one cordless. The hotel's gift shop includes a CD lending library for rooms' CD player/radios.
Decor and furnishings offer custom-made warm-toned furniture, including desks; small, cloth-draped tables; sand-colored wall coverings; tan carpeting; and cream-colored ceilings. King-bed rooms include upholstered reading chairs with ottomans, which are not available in queen-bed rooms.
